Day 1 : Ouarzazate Agdz Draa Valley Zagora
Depart from Ouarzazate in the morning and travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Stop in Agdz, a charming town marking the entrance to the Draa Valley, known for its vast palm groves and fortified kasbahs. Day 2 : Zagora Tamegroute Mhamid Erg Chigaga Dunes
After breakfast, visit Tamegroute, a historic village known for its Quranic library, green pottery workshops, and underground Kasbah. From here, continue to Mhamid, the last village before the Sahara desert begins. Switch to a 44 vehicle and travel deep into the Erg Chigaga dunes, the largest and most remote dunes in Morocco. Day 3 : Erg Chigaga Foum Zguid Taznakht Agdez
Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Begin the journey towards Foum Zguid, crossing the dry salt flats of Lake Iriqui and enjoying the ever-changing desert landscapes. Continue to Taznakht, a town famous for its handwoven Berber carpets, where you can visit a womens cooperative to learn about traditional carpet-making. Arrive in Agdez, a small oasis town at the foot of the Draa Valley, where you will spend the night in a charming riad.
Day 4 : Agdez Nkob Alnif Merzouga
After breakfast, head towards Nkob, a beautiful village known for its 45 kasbahs, offering spectacular views of the surrounding palm groves and mountains. Continue through Alnif, a region famous for its fossils, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek, journeying deep into the golden dunes and watching a breathtaking Sahara sunset. Day 6 : Merzouga Rissani Todgha Gorge Ouarzazate
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Ouarzazate, stopping in Rissani, a historic town with a vibrant traditional souk and ancient kasbahs. Continue towards the breathtaking Todgha Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering cliffs rising up to 300 meters high, perfect for a relaxing walk along the river. Drive through the Dades Valley, known for its red rock formations and picturesque kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon, where your 6 days desert adventure concludes.
