Afterward, head to the Royal Palace and Mohammed V Square, two prominent landmarks in the city. Stroll along the Corniche, Casablanca’s coastal promenade, and enjoy the seaside atmosphere. End your day with a traditional Moroccan dinner before checking into your hotel.
After breakfast, depart Casablanca and head north towards Chefchaouen (approximately 5 hours). Known as the “Blue City,” Chefchaouen is nestled in the Rif Mountains and is famous for its blue-painted buildings and tranquil vibe. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely walk through its winding streets, taking in the vibrant blue colors and scenic mountain views. Explore the local markets and artisanal shops that line the streets, offering handcrafted goods, textiles, and pottery. Enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night in a local riad or hotel.
After breakfast, leave Chefchaouen behind and travel to Fes (approximately 4 hours). Fes is one of Morocco’s most historic cities, home to ancient architecture and culture. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, then spend the evening at leisure. You may want to explore the city’s vibrant medina and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal at a local restaurant.
On day four, enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Visit the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali Medina, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world. Walk through its narrow streets, where you’ll find craftsmen working in leather, metal, and ceramics. Visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, the world’s oldest continuously operating university, founded in 859 AD. See the famous Chouara Tannery, where leather is dyed using traditional techniques. Explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, a religious school, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the founder of Fes. End the day with a visit to the Royal Palace before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, take a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward Merzouga (approximately 7-8 hours). Stop in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture, and visit the Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to wild Barbary apes. Continue your journey to Merzouga, a small village at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, take a camel trek to your desert camp, located in the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset over the dunes, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at the camp, and spend the night under the stars in a luxury desert camp.
Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Afterward, ride your camels back to Merzouga and begin your journey towards Todra Gorge (approximately 3 hours). Spend the entire day exploring Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities. Begin your day with a visit to the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the heart of Marrakech, where you’ll find a mix of snake charmers, street food vendors, and musicians. Explore the Koutoubia Mosque, the tallest building in Marrakech, and wander through the beautiful Bahia Palace. Visit the serene Majorelle Gardens, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, and explore the Saadian Tombs. In the afternoon, stroll through the lively Marrakech souks, where you can shop for spices, textiles, and Moroccan crafts. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and relax in the evening.
After breakfast, depart for the coastal city of Essaouira (approximately 2.5 hours). This charming town is known for its UNESCO-listed medina, beautiful beaches, and fresh seafood. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, visiting the Skala de la Ville, an old fortification offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
