Your adventure begins in Ouarzazate, where you will travel through the Roses Valley, famous for its rose-scented fields and vibrant pink flowers, especially during spring. Continue on to the Dades Gorges, a stunning series of narrow canyons and dramatic rock formations. Explore the area, visit the Dades River, and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. Tonight, relax in a local riad nestled in the gorges.
After breakfast, continue your journey through the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering cliffs, perfect for a scenic walk. After exploring the gorges, head towards Erfoud, a town known for its fossils and date palms. Arrive at Merzouga in the late afternoon, where you will embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Witness the mesmerizing Sahara sunset before arriving at your desert camp for a traditional Berber dinner and an unforgettable night under the stars.
Wake up early to experience the magical Sahara sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Today, explore Merzouga and its surrounding desert region, including:
You may also have the option to enjoy sandboarding, quad biking, or a 4×4 desert safari for more adventure. Return to the camp for another night in the desert.
After breakfast, depart Merzouga and head to Rissani, an ancient town famous for its souks and historic kasbahs. Continue to Alnif, known for its fossils and the surrounding desert landscapes. From Alnif, drive through a remote area to reach Zagora, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. In the evening, take a short camel trek into the Zagora desert, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner and stay overnight in a desert camp.
Spend the day exploring the Zagora desert and its surrounding areas. Visit nearby oases, enjoy a scenic camel trek through the desert dunes, and experience the peaceful tranquility of the Sahara. You will also have time to learn about the Berber culture and enjoy the hospitality of the locals. At sunset, enjoy another desert adventure and relax under the stars at the desert camp.
After breakfast, depart from Zagora and travel through the Draa Valley to Agdz, a small oasis town known for its palm groves and traditional kasbahs. Take a scenic stop to admire the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in the region. Continue back to Ouarzazate, where you can relax and enjoy a leisurely evening in the city.
On the final day of your tour, visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs, famous for its use as a filming location in Hollywood movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah, travel through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, where your 7-day journey concludes.
